The CTSA Community Engagement Key Function Committee (KFC) facilitates engagement efforts among stakeholders through best practices and initiatives including the just-published Principles of Community Engagement (Second Edition), the Fourth Annual National Community Engagement Conference and the Sentinel Network.
Principals of Community Engagement (Second Edition) was produced by a special task force of the CE KFC in cooperation with others including the NIH, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Health Resources and Services Administration, other federal agencies, academic institutions, and community organizations. The book provides public health professionals, health care providers, researchers, and community-based leaders and organizations with both the theoretical framework and practical guidance for engaging partners in projects to benefit community health nationwide.
