Eric Topol, MD, says medical apps could be useful in developing countries.
An article by Voice of America about the fast spread of health and medical apps quotes Eric Topol, MD, who heads the Scripps Translational Science Institute and serves as Scripps Health’s chief academic officer.
Dr. Topol noted that the technology is giving people in poorer, remote areas of the world access to some of the same medical services available in more urban and developed locations.
