Bakken, Trygve
Trygve Bakken, who is enrolled in the joint M.D./Ph.D. program at UC San Diego, applies a computational focus to neurosciences research. At STSI/SGM, he investigates the genetic determinants of cortical structure in human health and disease, with Nicholas Schork, Ph.D., as his co-principal investigator. He also conducts research at the Salk Institute on visual system scaling in teleost fish. After earning the B.A. degree in physics & philosophy at Yale University, Trygve attended the London School of Economics in the U.K., which awarded him the M.Sc. degree in philosophy & history of science.
