High Throughput Processing & Large-Scale Data File Storage

In addition to our on-site resources, Scripps Translational Science Institute (STSI) researchers can take advantage of the exceptional storage and computing facilities of the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) and the computing cluster of The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI). SDSC, a world leader in high performance computing, has developed specific computational resources and research capacity for “omically”-oriented translational research. Studies that require high throughput and large scale data file storage are supported through the use of SDSC and TSRI computing resources.

Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

For studies utilizing STSI's genomic core labs, the Scripps Genomic Medicine (SGM) LIMS platform is available for laboratory management of data.  SGM is currently in the process of upgrading its LIMS system. The old legacy systems will be replaced by a custom solution implemented by GraphLogic® that comprises modules for bar-coding and efficient sample-tracking, as well as for managing experimental design and data for genotyping and next generation sequencing.
