Dr. Eric Topol Delivers Keynote Address at mHealth Summit

Dr. Topol delivered his keynote address at the Summit during the opening session on December 5, and focused on the importance of continuing to innovate within the mHealth field, highlighting recent clinical and technical advances, noting where the industry can improve, what goals need to be set forth, and how those goals may be achieved. His keynote offered some bold predictions about the future of healthcare and the role technology will play. Bringing a different perspective to the Summit, Dr. Topol discussed the clinical value proposition that wireless health provides — including better health outcomes and lower healthcare costs.
The largest event of its kind, the Summit brings together leaders from across the mHealth ecosystem to foster and encourage communication and advance collaboration in the use of wireless technology to improve health outcomes across the globe. Attendees at the 2011 Summit will be joining the premier international forum for dialogue, world-class thought leadership, visionary keynotes, and action-provoking panel discussions on mHealth. The Summit will build on previous successes and offer a robust and comprehensive program agenda, focusing on the technology, research, business, and policy perspectives of mHealth and aid in identifying and accelerating sustainable mHealth solutions.
