The online medical resource Medscape has ranked Dr. Eric Topol, Director of the Scripps Translational Science Institute (STSI), among the 50 Most Influential Physicians in History. Medscape editors and advisors sought to identify “the giants of medicine” – physicians who stand apart due to “the extend of their achievements and their impact on the development of medical practice.”
Dr. Topol, who founded STSI in 2006, also founded the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
